Projects

WeCAN members create groups of very different people working on very different initiatives in very different places. But ultimately, we make real things happen. That's what projects are: concrete initiatives implemented by one or more WeCAN members or groups. WeCAN members and groups are the people who make it happen - projects are what happens. Groups can have many projects, and many groups can collaborate on one project. Projects can range from individual initiatives to broad-based multi-party campaigns. Using projects, WeCAN gives both its own members and the general public innovative ideas for action and demonstrates the creations of our empowerment.

Projects act as case studies with background information sharing best practices so others can use them. They also act as a space for members to develop specific initiatives within their group's mission, and allow groups whose work is otherwide very different to work together towards a single end.

If you are looking for ideas, search for a project on a topic you find interesting: feel free to replicate, just link back to the page where you found the idea. You don't need a group to launch or join a project, bt try searching for one in the groups first, you might want to join after working with them. When you are ready to start a project, join WeCAN and then create a project.
