WeCAN is its people. We create innovative, collaborative climate solutions that empower ever-more participation. We are united in the search for climate solutions and the pursuit of a sustainable global future. Our work is practical, making simple changes wherever we live and work, and yet it is visionary, participating in a network that will forge a global solution.

We envision our own solutions for our communities, institutions, and regions, and identify the partners already on WeCAN, and others in our local contexts, who have the expertise and knowledge to help us make them a reality. We work through existing groups or create our own, and unite community members, organizations, financial entities, and political agencies to advance shared visions for a locally-appropriate sustainable future. We join in this effort for many different reasons: to spur rural development, to protect a specific natural area, to build a more democratic economy, to prevent global conflicts, to pass a legacy on to future generations, to affirm local control, to redefine the role of the individual in society, and to re-envision global development.

Through collaboration across our different perspectives, we grow stronger, understanding that participants from all of our diverse backgrounds will be needed to confront the climate challenge. At every step, and through every project, we draw new participants, resources, and ideas into WeCAN.
